March and April are definitely the best months to visit Japan. And to fall in LOVE with sakura. Thousands of sakura trees everywhere in Tokyo will make you drink its romantic mood until finally, you'll get drunk with this wihte&pink cocktail of happiness and tenderness.

After two seasons of exploring and photographing people with sakura in Tokyo and around, I am glad to share with you my list of Top 5 places For Photo With Sakura and also some tips on how to make the best shoot. Please enjoy it and probably I'll meet you there to say "Cheers!"

CHIDORIGAFUCHI


If you are dreaming about some magic pictures with sakura by a river, this is your place. Hundreds of cherry trees touching the water create one of Tokyo's most outstanding sakura blossom sights. Rent a boat and enjoy your romantic photoshoot with a sakura tree and plenty of petals around the boat.

There is also a long footpath in the area near the boat rental office, which becomes a 'sakura tunnel'. You can take a few nice pictures here as well but only early in the morning because after it gets extremely crowded.

800 SAKURAS AT MEGURO RIVER


About 4 km promenade along the Meguro river with its 800 sakura trees blooming on both sides make this place very popular in April. The best time to walk under the cherry blossoms with a camera is early in the morning. But you should definitely come back here in the evening when the cherry blossom has a special illumination. Enjoy Sakura Festival with a glass of champagne and strawberries. This is a classic at Meguro Promenade! The most beautiful time for the photoshoot is when the cherry petals start to fall. With some wind the snow of petals covers the river and the streets with pink and white tenderness.

SHINJUKU GYOEN


Shinjuku Gyoen is one of the largest national gardens in all of Tokyo. With more than 1000 sakura trees here you The advantage of Shinjuku Gyoen is that there are more than 1000 trees here including their different types and locations. Take your time to walk around and you will find endless opportunities for your pictures with sakura! Enjoy the variety of landscapes and build your own scenes with beautiful trees. Here you can take pictures with both white and pink sakura trees.

AOYAMA CEMETERY


A perfectly straight row of trees lined along the Aoyama Cemetry promenade is breathtaking. The allee with 340 blooming cherry trees offers picturesque spring scenery. Come here early in the morning for the perfect lighting and to avoid crowds and you will have all of it just for your shoots.

INOKASHIRA PARK


A nice park with a river, a red Japanese bridge and a central pond surrounded by sakura trees offer a variety of opportunities for nice pictures. Rent a swan-shaped boat and enjoy gorgeous pink cherry trees brunches. At the end of the blossom season, the pond is covered by pink petals which will definitely add the magic atmosphere to your photoshoot. Think of taking a few pictures from Nanai Bridge in the middle of Inokashira Pond, the view on sakura trees touching the water from this point is especially nice.
